In several areas, new oil discoveries are still being made and operators are investing in new production facilities in unexplored fields.
To assist this process, our specialists provide a wide range of services, including feasibility studies, weight and cost estimates, HSE studies and risk analyses, strategic and commercial advice, and authority management.
Mature oil fields
In addition to the exploration of new oil fields, there is a heavy focus on extending the lifetime and increasing the capacity of mature fields.
Enhanced recovery methods have enabled an extension of the lifetime of aging offshore platforms, and Ramboll's recent projects within this area comprise maintenance consultancy and planning, upgrades of produced water facilities and modifications to the loading systems as well as tie-in of new facilities to neighbouring fields.
Moving energy
Once the oil or gas has been extracted, a safe and reliable transmission system is needed for transporting from offshore fields to onshore terminals for further distribution to end-customers.
We are able to provide expert advice on various transmission systems - whether offshore or onshore, pipelines, receiving terminals, LNG shipment or LNG storage. Our project portfolio counts energy transmission projects right from feasibility studies to full-fledged detailed designs of entire installations as well as project and authority management.
