Ramboll Oil & Gas' Studies & Planning department was selected by the European Commission to review the European gas storage market and provide guidance in the input for the Second Strategic Energy Review and the work of the Gas Coordination Group.

Comprehensive review of existing storage market

Ramboll’s task involved a broad spectrum of analysis incorporating a comprehensive review of the present market for storage including:

• the key market parameters
• prediction of future demand and supply of storage
• a technical review of existing transmission capacities and gas flows
  

Presenting advanced technical information

Ramboll evaluated the present status of strategic gas stocks in the European Union and the need for a more coherent policies on strategic gas stocks in the European Union. A central aspect of this study was presenting advanced technical information and recommendations in a clear and accessible manner for input in the above groups.
